01 The physics
A crate-aimed LD2410C at under 2 m sees the sow as its single composite target — confinement makes the one-target limit a feature — and a flop is a large, fast radial-motion burst unlike slow postural shifts. The XIAO Sense PDM microphone detects the loud band-limited squeal transients that follow a crush. Discriminating a hazardous flop from ordinary lying-down rests on the acoustic confirm, and that classifier is untrained on-farm — hence frontier class.
