Mapped to a shared offline runtime family and usable with a recording or compatible ESP32 CSI stream.
Intended capability
Pilot this intended outcome through the shared Breathing rate family, then validate it against site-specific ground truth: When the fire alarm trips, the security mesh flips into rescue mode: a live room-by-room map of where people are — and, in rooms fitted with an mmWave radar, whether there is still movement or breathing inside — through smoke and darkness that defeat every camera, delivered live to arriving firefighters.
This describes the intended outcome. Readiness is shared-family mapped, evidence is class B, and a catalog mapping or recording is not proof of this outcome at a real site.

A related Home scene
This is one recorded vertical scenario. It is not separate validation of every capability in the catalog.
01 The physics
Smoke particles are orders of magnitude smaller than 6-12 cm WiFi wavelengths and cause negligible attenuation, so CSI sensing is physically unimpaired exactly when optical sensing fails; occupant localization (RTI), motion (Doppler), and respiration (0.1-0.5 Hz phase modulation) all remain observable through smoke-filled rooms and closed doors. The radar's 24 GHz carrier (~1.25 cm wavelength) is equally indifferent to smoke, and its return is measured independently of the WiFi field — two separate carriers through the same fire.
02 Shared processing path
Alarm trigger -> RTI differential imaging localizes occupants per room (stage 4) -> Doppler classifies moving/still (stage 2) -> in radar-equipped rooms, the in-room mmWave cone holds the moving/still/breathing verdict via static micro-motion energy -> compartment Kalman maintains a per-room occupant state vector (stage 6) exported as a floorplan overlay, with CSI-only rooms marked presence-only.
This is a capability design path. Components may be shared with other catalog entries; it is not presented as a unique algorithm.
03 Validation plan
Presence, localization, and breathing layers individually proven or near-proven (OPERAnet breathing, RTI literature); integration test with theatrical smoke machine in an instrumented apartment: localization error and breathing detection rate at 3 smoke densities.
04 Commercial hypothesis
"The alarm that tells firefighters 'someone in the back bedroom, still breathing' — through the smoke." Enterprise tier: every room that promises the breathing verdict carries its own mmWave radar; rooms without one report presence only. For alarm monitoring centrals and fire-department integration partners.
