The evidence is proven or strong, but this capability still needs a capability-specific ESP32 or Rust runtime adapter.
Intended capability
Validate this target only after a capability-specific adapter and ground-truth study exist: Detects a specific rack door opening, side panel removal, or blanking plate extraction as a discrete geometric event — even when no motion sensor or contact switch exists on the rack.
This describes the intended outcome. Readiness is needs edge adapter, evidence is class B, and a catalog mapping or recording is not proof of this outcome at a real site.
Solution blueprint
See the environment before installing it.
This exact kit is one of 191 first-class designs. It includes geometry, objects, nodes, wording, scenarios, installation, limitations, and catalog-bound readiness.
No rendered revision is available yet.
Bundled recording
A related Datacenter scene
This is one recorded vertical scenario. It is not separate validation of every capability in the catalog.
01 The physics
A server rack is a large metal resonant scatterer; swinging its door 90 degrees moves a strong reflector, creating a step change in specific multipath component delays (sub-ns to few-ns) and amplitudes — a static geometry change, invisible to Doppler once the door stops but permanent in the CIR.
02 Shared processing path
CIR sparse recovery isolates per-path delays -> step-change detection on tracked path delays/amplitudes -> axis discovery ('poke-and-observe': open each rack door during commissioning to teach a labeled axis per rack) -> event classified and localized to a specific rack.
This is a capability design path. Components may be shared with other catalog entries; it is not presented as a unique algorithm.
03 Validation plan
Own-hardware: ESP32 mesh in a rack row, scripted open/close of each door and panel 50x, confusion matrix over racks; CSI-Bench for CIR feature stability under interference.
04 Commercial hypothesis
Retrofit rack-level tamper detection with zero wiring — 'know which rack door opened, when, without contact sensors on 10,000 racks' — sold to the colo ops/security engineering lead.
