HouseRules

Occupancy Integrity Auditor (Vacation Rentals)

Pilot target for coarse rental occupancy; count limits and false classifications require site validation.

Readiness Shared-family mapped

Mapped to a shared offline runtime family and usable with a recording or compatible ESP32 CSI stream.

Evidence Proven Research data

A comparable sensing task was demonstrated on public research data; this product, site, and safety workflow remain unvalidated.

Runtime family Occupancy estimate

Coarse occupancy estimate from calibrated multi-link field activity.

When no ESP32 is connected

No compatible ESP32 stream is connected. Use the bundled Home recording; it demonstrates the shared Occupancy estimate runtime, not independent proof of this capability.

Intended capability

Pilot this intended outcome through the shared Occupancy estimate family, then validate it against site-specific ground truth: Privacy-safe headcount for short-term rentals: detects unauthorized parties (12 people in a 4-guest booking), after-checkout lingering, and unregistered overnight guests — with no cameras, so it is legal and marketable inside the unit.

This describes the intended outcome. Readiness is shared-family mapped, evidence is class A, and a catalog mapping or recording is not proof of this outcome at a real site.

Solution blueprint

See the environment before installing it.

This exact kit is one of 191 first-class designs. It includes geometry, objects, nodes, wording, scenarios, installation, limitations, and catalog-bound readiness.

A related Home scene

This is one recorded vertical scenario. It is not separate validation of every capability in the catalog.

01 The physics

Each additional moving body adds independent scattering paths and Doppler energy; aggregate CSI variance and multipath richness scale monotonically with occupant count. LF2 occupancy count already achieves r=0.9. Count is a statistic, not an image — privacy-preserving by physics.

02 Shared processing path

Doppler activity energy (stage 2) + CIR path-count richness (stage 1) -> regression on anomaly-manifold coordinates (stage 3) -> compartment Kalman smooths per-room counts and CUSUM flags sustained over-occupancy vs a booking-derived setpoint (stage 6).

This is a capability design path. Components may be shared with other catalog entries; it is not presented as a unique algorithm.

03 Validation plan

WiMANS (multi-user, labeled counts) and OPERAnet for cross-validation; field pilot in 10 rental units comparing nightly count curves against booking manifests.

04 Commercial hypothesis

"Party detection that guests can't find and regulators can't object to." For Airbnb/Vrbo host-tool platforms and rental property managers.
