Objective hand-hygiene audit

Hand-hygiene and workflow-compliance sensing at sink/gel zones

Pilot measure of entry and wash-station dwell; a pause cannot prove hand hygiene.

Readiness Shared-family mapped

Mapped to a shared offline runtime family and usable with a recording or compatible ESP32 CSI stream.

Evidence Frontier Unvalidated concept

An early research proposal with no capability-specific product validation yet.

Runtime family Zone dwell

Time-in-zone estimate from calibrated presence transitions.

When no ESP32 is connected

No compatible ESP32 stream is connected. Use the bundled Healthcare recording; it demonstrates the shared Zone dwell runtime, not independent proof of this capability.

Intended capability

Evaluate the sensing evidence for “Hand-hygiene and workflow-compliance sensing at sink/gel zones” in a consented, ground-truthed study. This is not a medical device, clinical monitor, diagnosis, or emergency alert.

This describes the intended outcome. Readiness is shared-family mapped, evidence is class C, and a catalog mapping or recording is not proof of this outcome at a real site.

Solution blueprint

See the environment before installing it.

This exact kit is one of 191 first-class designs. It includes geometry, objects, nodes, wording, scenarios, installation, limitations, and catalog-bound readiness.

Bundled recording

A related Healthcare scene

This is one recorded vertical scenario. It is not separate validation of every capability in the catalog.

01 The physics

A person entering the room and pausing at the sink/dispenser wall creates a distinct RTI occupancy trace in the doorway->sink cells with a characteristic dwell time; the arm-reach gesture to a dispenser produces a short micro-Doppler signature localized to that zone.

02 Shared processing path

Aimed LD2410 cone over the sink/gel zone measures dwell directly in its 0.75 m range gates -> RTI differential imaging tracks room entry/exit trajectories (CSI) -> micro-Doppler gesture detector for the dispenser reach -> compartment logic pairs entry/exit with zone dwell into compliance-or-miss

This is a capability design path. Components may be shared with other catalog entries; it is not presented as a unique algorithm.

03 Validation plan

WiMANS multi-user tracking + SenseFi gesture classes for the reach motion; own-hardware clinic-room deployment scored against direct human observation as gold standard.

04 Commercial hypothesis

'Objective hand-hygiene audit' — for infection-prevention/epidemiology leaders chasing HAI-reduction and Joint Commission compliance metrics; plus tier: one mmWave radar aimed at each sink/gel station measures the dwell that counts.
