Pilot this intended outcome through the shared Occupancy estimate family, then validate it against site-specific ground truth: Anonymous desk- and room-level true utilization: detects booked-but-empty rooms in minutes and builds occupancy heatmaps at ~1m resolution for portfolio right-sizing, with zero cameras or badges. No room is called empty while its mmWave radar still reads a quiet occupant — the booked-but-empty verdict fires only when field and radar agree.

01 The physics

A stationary seated human still modulates CSI via breathing (0.1-0.5Hz chest displacement ~1cm changes path length/phase); RTI differential attenuation localizes the body between link lines to 0.5-1m, distinguishing which desk cluster is occupied.

02 Shared processing path

RTI differential imaging (localization) fused with breathing-band micro-Doppler (sedentary presence) -> adaptive PCA baseline per zone -> occupancy heatmap time series -> utilization analytics; machine-vs-human discrimination filters fans/printers. Booked-but-empty verdicts additionally gate on the per-room radar static hold — a still reader keeps the room occupied; desk-level heatmaps stay CSI.
