Mapped to a shared offline runtime family and usable with a recording or compatible ESP32 CSI stream.
Intended capability
Evaluate the sensing evidence for “Ghost Passenger — Child/Pet Presence Detection” in a stationary, controlled, ground-truthed vehicle study. This is not a vehicle, occupant, child, pet, or driver-safety system.
This describes the intended outcome. Readiness is shared-family mapped, evidence is class B, and a catalog mapping or recording is not proof of this outcome at a real site.

A related Automotive scene
This is one recorded vertical scenario. It is not separate validation of every capability in the catalog.
01 The physics
Respiration displaces the chest ~5mm at 0.1-0.5Hz, modulating CSI phase on cabin multipath; heartbeat proxy at 0.8-2Hz adds a secondary band. In a static parked cabin the RF channel is otherwise frozen, so even sub-mm periodic motion produces a strong SNR deviation from the empty-cabin baseline.
02 Shared processing path
Micro-Doppler band-pass 0.1-2Hz -> adaptive PCA + MVE anomaly vs rolling empty-cabin manifold -> RTI differential to localize which seat/footwell zone -> cabin mmWave radar static micro-motion energy confirms a living, still occupant before the alert (the radar reports one composite presence; the seat zone stays a CSI verdict).
This is a capability design path. Components may be shared with other catalog entries; it is not presented as a unique algorithm.
03 Validation plan
Own-hardware: 2-3 ESP32 nodes in a parked car, N=10 subjects + infant mannequin with breathing simulator, blanket/footwell occlusion matrix; cross-check breathing extraction against OPERAnet respiration ground truth.
04 Commercial hypothesis
Euro NCAP 2025 Child Presence Detection compliance from a small cabin BOM: the WiFi chipset already in the head unit plus an LD2410C-class mmWave radar on a short cable — sold to Tier-1 ADAS product managers and OEM safety leads. Plus tier; the radar's static-presence confirm is what earns the claim.
