The evidence is proven or strong, but this capability still needs a capability-specific ESP32 or Rust runtime adapter.
Intended capability
Validate this target only after a capability-specific adapter and ground-truth study exist: Reads clean-agent cylinder pressure gauges and diesel day-tank sight glasses on a schedule: an event camera snapshots each enrolled indicator, on-device vision reads needle angle or meniscus height, and a numeric fill/pressure state is logged per asset — the metal-tank pain the rejected RF gauge could not touch, read from the instrument the vendor already bolted on.
This describes the intended outcome. Readiness is needs edge adapter, evidence is class B, and a catalog mapping or recording is not proof of this outcome at a real site.

A related Datacenter scene
This is one recorded vertical scenario. It is not separate validation of every capability in the catalog.
01 The physics
A gauge dial is a purpose-built high-contrast optical indicator: at under 1 m a QVGA frame resolves needle angle to a few degrees, mapping to psi via per-asset enrollment; a sight-glass meniscus is a one-edge detect. Pure optics — no RF penetration claim survives a steel cylinder wall and none is made. Capture is scheduled-event only, from a fixed mount with dedicated local illumination; no streaming path exists.
02 Shared processing path
Scheduled wake -> illuminated bounded capture of enrolled gauge -> on-device needle-angle / meniscus read (TFLite-Micro) -> per-asset calibration map -> fill/pressure log + drift alarm on week-scale slope
This is a capability design path. Components may be shared with other catalog entries; it is not presented as a unique algorithm.
03 Validation plan
Bench across gauge models: read accuracy versus manual gauge reads and weigh checks; lighting and parallax sensitivity from fixed mounts; long-run drift audit against NFPA-scheduled manual inspections.
04 Commercial hypothesis
'The weigh-check between weigh-checks' — for facility fire-protection owners catching slow suppression leaks between NFPA inspections.
