01 The physics

A walk-in is a near-Faraday steel enclosure, opaque to the 2.4 GHz mesh outside it. An LD2410C mounted inside detects moving and static (breathing) targets to 4-6 m and is rated for sub-zero operation; its UART runs through existing door conduit to an ESP32-S3 node outside the box, so no radio has to work from inside the enclosure.

02 Shared processing path

LD2410 in-box moving/static energy -> occupancy state machine (entered / working / still) -> stillness clock past policy hold -> after-hours-occupied alarm + man-down page via the outside node
