Confirm before you dig

Aperture Life-Probe: Void Confirm Kit

Aperture-probe research concept for depth and periodicity evidence; it cannot confirm life or direct rescue.

Readiness Shared-family mapped

Mapped to a shared offline runtime family and usable with a recording or compatible ESP32 CSI stream.

Evidence Strong theory Supported hypothesis

Published physics or adjacent results support the hypothesis; capability-specific product and site validation are still required.

Runtime family Through-wall presence

Coarse presence inference across an obstructed link; it is not identity or photographic imaging.

When no ESP32 is connected

No compatible ESP32 stream is connected. Use the bundled Frontier recording; it demonstrates the shared Through-wall presence runtime, not independent proof of this capability.

Intended capability

Pilot this intended outcome through the shared Through-wall presence family, then validate it against site-specific ground truth: A responder add-on to the throwable CSI mesh: after the mesh flags a breathing sector in rubble or a sealed space, a braced mmWave cone aimed through any access gap gives an ms-class respiration confirm with radial distance, and one bounded camera frame through the same gap adds visual triage.

This describes the intended outcome. Readiness is shared-family mapped, evidence is class B, and a catalog mapping or recording is not proof of this outcome at a real site.

This exact kit is one of 191 first-class designs. It includes geometry, objects, nodes, wording, scenarios, installation, limitations, and catalog-bound readiness.

A related Frontier scene

This is one recorded vertical scenario. It is not separate validation of every capability in the catalog.

01 The physics

24 GHz FMCW static-target detection resolving thoracic micro-motion at 4-6 m line-of-sight is the LD2410C's core spec; an access gap restores the line-of-sight that rubble denies the radar, while the CSI mesh keeps its through-rubble breadth. The radar must be braced still — its clutter model assumes a stationary mount — and the camera is ordinary optics through the same aperture.

02 Shared processing path

CSI mesh breathing-sector flag -> operator aims braced LD2410 through access gap -> static micro-motion confirm + radial distance readout -> bounded snapshot for triage -> sector confirm logged to the search record

This is a capability design path. Components may be shared with other catalog entries; it is not presented as a unique algorithm.

03 Validation plan

Rubble-pile exercises with USAR teams: confirm rate and distance accuracy against volunteers in training stacks; brace-mount protocol validated against handheld tremor; dust and radome-soiling degradation curve measured.

04 Commercial hypothesis

'Confirm before you dig' — for USAR teams triaging which breach to cut first.
